Be in The Mystery

The title of this post is a favourite quote of mine by a Quantum Physicist by the name of Dr Fred Alan Wolfe.

Do you sometimes feel like you don’t know where you’re supposed to be going in life? When I feel like this I take time out and think about this phrase.

“The Trick in Life is Not to be in the Know, But to be in the Mystery”

It makes me smile.

And then I realize, we’re not supposed to know everything. Sure we can have dreams, and goals but we don’t ultimately know what is going to happen tomorrow. And we’re not supposed to.

Isn’t there something just a bit magical about that?

I think even though we spend time planning and setting goals, there are still times when you just think “What am I doing? Am I heading in the right direction?”

Our life path is not set in stone.

There’s no harm in knowing where you want to go in life, in fact I encourage it because I believe our thoughts and actions ultimately create our lives. Having focus is very important especially if you don’t want to just drift through life.

Just remember that we don’t need to know everything.

We just need to learn what we need to know right now. Set goals, but be prepared to adjust them depending on the events that life throws at you. And most of all, don’t take things too seriously. I know I’m guilty of this at times although I do kick myself when I realise I’m doing it!

Life is mysterious but it’s also a great ride!

It’s also very short and I’m starting to realize that now, even though I’m only 37! So I try to laugh a lot, embrace the fact that I will never know everything and just enjoy being in the mystery.

Can you embrace the mystery in your life or would you prefer to be in the know?
